Bridge of Napoleon

Pont Napoléon
This bridge has been built by order of Napoléon III (from 1859 to 1863, height 65m) to thank the inhabitants of Saint Sauveur. This because they took care of the empress Eugenie in the spa of Saint Sauveur for her sterility.
By means of this bridge, the valley of Gavarnie was opened for the farmers and the tourists.

The bridge is accessible for cars and is situated about 2 km of Luz, on the way to Gavarnie.
