Rose Marie Gaby - Village - 65120 GAVARNIE - Tel : 05.62.92.48.07 - Fax : 05.62.92.40.79 - Email

Gavarnie is at the same time a picturesque village with it's donkeys and horses, a festivale for 20 years and a grandiose cirque registered a world heritage site with Unesco. Here with it's mixture of hikers and riders, the village has kept it's mountain character.

And it's in the village on the pathway leading to the cirque that Rose Marie welcomes you from 28th December to 1st November to her hotel **.

Discription : 13 rooms on 2 levels overlooking the mountains. All are equipped with shower and wc (except 3 for the wc).

She will spoil you with her traditional cuisine of Garbure Soup, lamb AOC from Barèges-Gavarnie, filet of salmon trout à la crème or her duckbreast fondu, pepper-roquefort cheese…

For dessert her homemade tarts : oldfashioned apple tart, soft chocolate cake…. Or fruit clafoutis !

Pretty dining room for 50 people. Bar : 30 people. Terrace and veranda. Reading room with TV.

Gavarnie is to Pyreneisme what Chamonix is to alpinisme thanks to such adventurers as the Count Henry Russel, Schrader…. The walk to the cirque can be made on foot or on donkey or horse back…

And it's from the Hotel that start the walks to the Cirque or even to the Espuguettes refuge towards the ascension of the Piméné or Hourquette d'Alans.
