You can take a 1h30 walk from the village to the cirque to admire one of the largest waterfalls in Europe, at a height of 320 m, which then becomes the Gave de Pau river... If this distance is too long you can do it on the back of a donkey or horse on a pathway used as a cross country skiing track in the winter. Try the ski runs at the Especières ski resort where you can view the Brèche de Roland, famous site for hiking. Also visit the cirques de Troumouse or Estaubé, the Pic du Midi and the Col du Tourmalet, and on the plain, Lourdes and it's marian city.
