History The world Toy meaning once "Thôys" or "child, little one". This word meant the youth of the villages. During the 18th century the word "Thôys" became "Toy" by deformation. In the middle of the 19th century the "Toy" had become a young man willing to marry. Recently we noted : - "a toy is a small and slender man". - In the plains, the toy means a clumsy, boorish man, behind on the civilisation.
